Rowing boats that are available to hire
Weddell Sound is a nice sheltered bay which is almost completely land locked with the Churchill Barriers to the West and North sides linking the islands of Burray, Glimps Holm and Lamb Holm to the mainland, thus making it a great bay to explore in a small boat, with the block-ships sunk in World War One to look at, seals sitting on the rocks, a large variety of birds and also good sea fishing.
Boats can be hired from the Glimsps Holm beach next to the third Churchill Barrier all safety gear is provided including a rescue boat and fishing rods can be supplied.
PLEASE NOTE THAT FOR THE 2010 SEASON THESE BOAT WILL ONLY BE AVAILABLE TO HIRE IN SWANNY LOCH FOR THE PURPOSE OF FISHING
